Q: How are rates calculated when I am flying to and from airports?

You will be charged the regular hourly rate when you occupy the airplane, and eighty percent of the regular hourly rate for un-occupied flight time such as repositioning flights, ferry flights, or empty return flights. We will charge only for flight time used on the aircraft, and quote when you make your reservation. We do not charge supplementary fees other than pilot standby fees or third party fees associated with your flight such as ramp fees, landing fees or parking fees.

Q: How are rates calculated for services?

All rates are based on a per hour charter rate published at the time you make your reservation. Charter rates are typically $695 per each hour you occupy the flight. Un-occupied flight hour charges are eighty percent of the occupied flight hours such as repositioning flights, ferry flights, or empty return flights. We charge only for flight time used on the aircraft, and quote when you make your reservation. There are no supplementary fees other than pilot standby fees or fees associated with your flight such as ramp fees, landing fees or parking fees which will be billed to you after your flight is completed.

Q: Is there a fee for waiting time?

The pilot and airplane can wait for you to return from your business to fly you back to your home or next place of business. This is an excellent service for business travelers who are flying in for a short client meeting. You will need to let us know if you want the pilot and airplane to wait for you when you make your initial or confirmation reservation. The first free hour of waiting time is no charge. After the complimentary first hour, every hour thereafter is $100.00.

Q: How many passengers are allowed?

Each aircraft can accommodate up to 3 passengers. Please provide the number and names of passengers upon making the reservation.

Q: Are there any luggage/weight restrictions?

During the reservation process, you will be asked for the approximate weight and amount of luggage (number of bags & total weight). For safety reasons, the amount of luggage is limited and cannot exceed pre-determined limits for the aircraft you are chartering – which is typically under 200 pounds for a Cirrus SR22 aircraft.

Q: Are there any weather considerations when planning a flight?

Your safety is our number one priority. If weather conditions are questionable or marginal, we will initiate contact with you prior to your departure to discuss appropriate alternative arrangements prior to your scheduled charter flight.

Q: What is an “Empty Leg” flight?

An “Empty Leg” flight refers to the flight required to bring one of our planes back from a client’s destination airport to its home-base airport.

Q: What is the benefit of purchasing “Waiting Time” instead of re-ordering another airplane to pick me up for my return flight?

If you are flying to a destination for a short period of time (i.e. for a business meeting), it is very beneficial to you to utilize the “Wait Time” service. By reserving your airplane at your location with the “Wait Time” service, you are making the airplane and pilot waiting and ready for you when you need it.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept & when am I expected to pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Traveler’s Checks, and Personal Checks. Cash will not be accepted. When we quote you your flight, and you accept our terms and conditions, we will “hold” that amount against your credit card until your flight is completed. If there are any additional charges for pilot wait times, landing or aircraft parking fees, these charges will be added to your bill when your flight is completed and credit card is charged.

Q: Are there special considerations to transport fire-arms?

Passengers are allowed to bring fire-arms on board aircraft provided that all transported fire-arms must be unloaded, fully enclosed in a lockable hard shell case, and presented to the pilot for inspection before boarding the aircraft. The transport of any hazardous materials, such as ammunition, propane tanks, explosives, fireworks, gasoline, etc., is not allowed under any circumstances.

Q: What kind of experience will my pilot have?

All of our Pilots are qualified as Commercial pilots, must pass a FAA Flight Medical Exam each year, and pass a company drug screen test prior to employment and randomly during their employment as a professional pilot. Furthermore, they are obligated to pass very rigorous FAA flight examinations and must take required re-currency checks periodically to FAR Part 135 certificate holder standards. All pilots are required to have a minimum of 1,200 hours of flying time before they may apply for a pilot’s position.
